I called for emergency after-hours service for a burst pipe at my 94-year old mother’s home on a Friday, a couple minutes before closing. The pleasant, courteous woman to whom I spoke listened patiently, and everything was explained thoroughly. When I called back to confirm the service call, I spoke to Doug, who modeled the same professionalism as I’d experienced on the earlier call. The service technician he sent arrived ahead of schedule, located the problem, replaced the burst pipe section, and was finished and out the door quickly. He, too, was pleasant, patient, courteous, and a true professional. I am delighted with the service I received and I highly recommend this company.

Wow! What an experience with this outfit. If you like to spend money, then this is your plumbing company! We had a leak in our family room ceiling. The leak was coming from the bathroom above the room and was occurring when a shower was taken. We called Flader Plumbing. The plumber came and was told that the water was coming from the bathroom above and to check that out. The plumber immediately made a large hole in the ceiling of the family room. My wife kept asking why did the hole need to be so big, why don't you look at the bathroom above and check there first. Eventually he did, but not after we had a huge hole in the ceiling. See photo. The plumber found the issue...a bad shower head Bought a $25 shower head. He added the shower head and sealed the Faucet. The job took 2 trips and was total of 4 hours. We were charged $1,000. Plus spent another $1,200 to have the hole fixed. :-(

Flader does quality work the first time. While they're sometimes a bit expensive, we've had them back several times so I guess we're comfortable with the trade offs. They have done an out-door shower, toilet fix, sprinkler system, boiler issues, among other jobs. They are polite and easy to work with. If it's a big enough job to hire a plumber, it's worth doing it well. Flader should be on the short list for Evanston area plumbing.
