Home Services at The Home Depot

We have been loyal Home Depot customers for years until we had them do some insulation work. It has been a nightmare ever since. I have had their subcontractors out multiple times and they have never fixed the problem and no one ever follows up. We have had conversations with people at HD and their contractors and it appears no one cares or has any customer service in mind, We are left with no option but to hire another company to fix this mess and take it to court.

We looked at getting new counters for our kitchen here. They had a great selection to choose from and lots of samples to take home. After crunching numbers we chose to just get one for the 8ft sections that they had on hand in the store. It was 1/3 of the price that a custom built countertop would have cost.

This is the best Home Depot I've ever been to...the staff is excellent, helpful, knowledgeable. However, I have to give them a bad review for their carpet installers, AIS or Anderson Installment Services, out of Sterling Heights, mi. We've had our installation scheduled for months. They called to confirm last week and promised yes the baseboards will be installed and then the carpet. It didn't happen. Next thing they are saying we don't have baseboards on the order and then said it wasn't scheduled right. So we reschedule for the following week. Mind you our entire house is torn up, we took 2 days off work, we have a 50th birthday party the next day and family coming in from Seattle the next weekend. The baseboards were done yesterday. Today we get a call they can't install the carpet due to 5" too short"!!! Mind you they built in a 15% surplus on the estimate that we paid for already. Here it is noon and they still aren't here. I don't have a problem with the Home Depot staff, BUT I do have a problem with who they do business with. NEVER AGAIN.

Helpful with project needs as well as product sales. Always a bottle of cold water.
