My experience with this plumber wasn't good. I hired J & M to repair a water leak. Although they repaired it, Jeff caused a second leak by drilling through my lead drain pipe. I was charged $340.00 for fixing the original leak. The second leak, however, was going to cost at least $400.00 or more. He also said I would need to hire a carpenter after he tore the wall out, because he didn't do that kind of work. I really hoped he would repair the damage he caused as a good will gesture, to show he was a man of integrity. He refused, saying he wouldn't work for free. He also made the comment that my house was 100 years old. I don't know what that means, but hoped he wasn't insinuating that it wasn't worth fixing. My brother is taking off work to repair the mess. He's having to tear out a back wall and chisel through the concrete sub floor to get to the pipe. I find it incredibly disappointing that a professional plumber would create such a mess then force me to get someone else to repair it. There's no way I could pay more than I had already paid him. Typically, I wouldn't leave a bad review, but I think anyone who hires Jeff Carr should be aware that he won't repair any mistakes he makes without charge. His fee amounted to $100 - 115. per hour. He was here by himself about three hours and his partner joined him the last 15 minutes. Please check the ratings before you hire anyone. I didn't, but wish I had.
