GTA Restoration

If i could leave 0 stars, I would. This company took advantage of someone in an unfortunate and stressful situation. They removed my content and touched my personal belongings without my knowledge. They did not give me the opportunity to come and collect my things and move them myself. They instead took them very far away from downtown, so I was left with nothing. I was not provided with an itemized receipt or clarification of any of the charges. When I asked for clarification I was ignored, and then faced with a late fee. When I came back to my apartment, it was dirty, and very evident that the workers has used my personal washroom and kitchen while they were working. Further, they misplaced or threw out a side table of mine and I was not offered any type of compensation to recoup my losses for my personal belongings. It's evident that this company operates with very little sense, or compassion/understanding for renters who are left in a tough spot, making a bad situation worse. Honestly, go with any other company.

Basement apt flooded and I unfortunately got involved with this company. Worst mistake of my life. I see on here other people were scammed by them as well. They drastically over charge to the tune of $21k plus (My insurance company couldn't believe what they were charging.) and (I feel) prey on people in an emergency situations. Everything from saying the walls are 3 feet higher in their quote than the walls actually are (to pad the bill) to delaying sending the invoice for final payment and attempting to charge me LATE FEES FOR NOT PAYING!! I wrote them numerous times asking for the bill. That's just the tip of the iceberg in reasons I would never hire them again. Worst customer service in my opinion. Worst company I've ever dealt with in my life. STAY AWAY. EDIT: I see that GTA is claiming that all the "bad reviews" are fake. I know for a fact that one of them is not. My basement tenant. They used the same blanket statement on her and a bunch of others. Don't be fooled by this scare tactic. Trust that all the bad reviews are real. NEVER HIRE THEM.

They said they would send a crew, but never showed up and when I called and left a message the call was never returned. Cost me valuable time when I could have called someone else. Quite unprofessional - I understand if they were too busy, but would have appreciated a call. EDIT: owner has asked me to remove. This is not a fake review. The reason GTA restoration doesn’t have a record of doing any work for us is because as stated above they never showed up when they said they would nor did they ever follow up with us to let us know why. I will not be removing this review so others are aware that they shouldn’t bother wasting their time waiting around for these people to arrive as I did.

I am another recent victim of this godforsaken business. Your company is one of the most atrocious, if not the most atrocious, that I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. You put a confusing sheet in the name of a contract before your sinister-stricken soon-to-be-victims in order to make monetary gains from human misery. I sometimes wonder how you would react if someone treated you the same. People do not leave such reviews out of spite or because they are competing with you in your nefarious ways: they do so because they have been victimized by your company, which, failing to perform properly, sucks its potential customers for pure financial gains. People do not leave their real names because they do not wish to have to deal with you, yet again. These reviews are NOT FAKE. Please mend your atrocious ways and real (and not FAKE) people will start leaving you excellent reviews.

Be careful while dealing with them. They'll try to scam you at every minute and are extremely cunning. Having a hard time to get my money back from them.
