I rented the propress gun from them as I have done several times. My contractor which is very busy came out on a Sunday to fix a problem I had. At that time we found that the gun did not work. I was charged a full day by my contractor as I am located out of town. I do not blame my contractor as it was not our fault the gun did not work. My electrician was on hand and he tested the battery and it was good. Since it was not my tool I decided not to investigate further. I returned the tool and they refunded my deposit and said they would not charge me for the rental. When zI enquired about my contractor fee they said the manager would get ahold of me. I went back twice that week to enquire about my request One girl offered three free rentals and I explained that would not cover my costs. She also stated that the battery was bad and that was the problem. I told her that my electrician tested the battery and it was good. She said the insides were melted and that was the problem. Three inquiries and still no response from the manager. I guess I will have to personally call and seek him out. You would think a well established company would stand behind their rental services and maybe try them between customers. One gentleman stated that the previous customer who rented the gun did not tell them that it was broken. I said to him "Why would he?". I went back the following week to rent the tool and they said one was being rented and the other one was put being fixed. So obviously it was not a bad battery. Seems like a lot of lies and deception at this company.
Great place and fast service.
Wayne Carson- salesman. great guy but questionable height. should be selling step ladders.
Richfield Plumbing has used Wolseley for decades and have been happy with what we receive just like all the other wholesales in Edmonton. This review is specifically for my sales representative Monica. She is the type of person that if you call, she answers. You email, she replies. Even when you send her an email in the evening on a Friday or Saturday with the heading “not important, wait till Monday”, she gets back to you immediately. She really cares about her job and her customers. Recently I ordered a boiler from her that was for warranty. We bought the original boiler somewhere else and it was defective after a year so we were going to replace it and then return the old one under warranty. I believe the wholesaler gets paid nothing or very little for this. At the very least they don’t get paid much for the amount of work that is involved. So basically Monica was getting a product for us in which she was making very little to no money. Unfortunately there was a slight mistake when we ordered the boiler. There was two boilers with almost the exact same number. The job was in Westlock which is 45-55min away and we had the other boiler removed already. This was an emergency. I called Monica and she informed me she was heading into training in 15min but would see if someone else could help. She had the correct boiler in stock. Put it in her vehicle(nobody else was immediately available), and proceeded to drive it up to Westlock on hwy 44 where she met my employees half way and did the exchange. If she didn’t do this we would have been delayed an additional 1.5hrs with the driving and waiting in line etc. We had enough time to fire up the boiler and make the customer happy and get done in regular time. So thank you Monica, not only for this example but for all the other things you do on a daily basis. She is a good person, she is amazing at what she does and we appreciate all the hard work she does for us. If there is a vote for Wolseley employee of the year, my vote is for Monica.
Great place Great poeple.
