These guys seem to know their stuff. I was getting a slight amount of icing on the coil in the air handler, which I’ve seen before, so I called them to schedule a recharge of the Puron. The tech who came out said he installed my make and model of heat pump for about six years so he knew it well. He checked the thermostat for error codes and then ran a diagnostic test to check for problems. It turns out the Puron wasn’t low, instead the valve in the coil was stuck in one position, which was causing the icing. The coil was also a bit rusted out so we decided to replace the whole coil with a new aluminum version. Everything is now back up and running and it’s even pumping out colder air than it was before the repair, so that’s an added bonus.

I called Select about my problem and they had someone out the next day even with a bad winter storm forecast. He quickly diagnosed the problem. They had to order the part but within a couple of days, a tech was back out to my house and installed the part. I would definitely recommend them to take care of your hvac needs.
