My 80 year old mother has been without ac since last Thursday. Smith said Keene finally made it to her house last Saturday only to put in a part that burned out before the repairman left. Thank God my brothers live close by. They couldn't get mom to go stay with them because she wants to be there for Smith and Keene to come back with the part. So they bought her a window unit to keep her cool in one room. I just spoke to my mom and she informed me that Smith and Keene received the part yesterday but they cannot get back to her house to replace it until tomorrow. I realize it is the middle of summer, but if you are that busy, isn't it obvious you need to hire more repairmen? Did you order the part when you said you were or did wait? What about priority? Wouldn't it make sense to put the part in once it arrives? On top of that, she pays a yearly maintenance fee on August 1st, then Smith and Keene wants to come out a day or two after she has paidand maintenance it. It would make more sense to wait and maintenance it the first week in May. What a rip off to an older person?
I have used them for 2 units on two different houses and a split for an upstairs room. Price was fantastic and service was great.
Smith and Keene came out to my resident's on 5/23/2019 ,the first thing I noticed was this guy about 5 foot 8 in height entered into my loft on his cell phone talking really loud ,then I proceeded to touch him on his shoulder to tell him to quiet it down a bit because my wife is sleep .Then the next thing I know he comes back into the loft still talking loud on the cell phone ,he had to go into the room to fix the problem ,then he gets off the phone and to my shock this guy starts talking even louder ,in my mind this guy is trying to disrespect in my own loft . Then after an hour he comes down ,he say he found the problem ,and it was the fan for our unit ,then I proceed to tell this guy I had an idea that it might have been the fan ,then he starts talking loud again telling me if I knew what the problem was why didn't I tell him .I proceeded to tell him look guy I'm not an expert at AC units it was just a guess on my behalf .Then he goes to tell me that I should have told him anyway ,then on top of all of that he never told me when he would be back to fix the problem ,the lack of professionalism is gone with this company ......warning stay far way as you can .
Smith & Keene installed out. HVAC system and did not insulate the trunk line and it has been condensating which has cause mold in our ceiling now we have big repairs to do because of these slackers, the only thing they are good at is cutting corners and ripping you off AVOID SMITH & KEENE.
do not recommend this company to anyone! Called them for warranty to fix there faulty gas line. Herb showed up and said my dryer gas line is the leak/issue? Which it was not the problem. Also said the line they installed was not leaking. Which was leaking in fact you could hear it hissing if herb even turn the gas on. Didnt even want to fix anything under the so called warranty for their workmanship. And have the nerve to charge a bill on top of it really? They are not customer oriented and john J. kept saying I don't know what I'm talking about when it comes to basic plumbing of black iron pipe.
