Home Services at The Home Depot

What's not to love about home depot??? And this new service they offer is great...find what you need on line pay for it ...go to customer service and pick it up...had to be the fastest shopping experience I've had in a long while ...

I am a severely Disabled Veteran and was referred to a contractor by Home Depot Home Services to get a front door installed and porch built. Adamo Homes came and inspected our job in October and gave us an install date of 11/26/18. A week before the install, I called Adamo Homes about the job as he never contacted me about the porch materials, etc. He calls me back and says that "he has to go down to Home Depot and pick out the materials." He then told me that I have to go to Home Depot and pay for them myself before the job. That sounded sketchy, but I did it anyways. On the install date, I get a call that the materials were not in and that it will be another week. I then get a call the next week saying it will be the following week and that "Home Depot can't get orders right". Adamo Homes had since October to have the supplies ordered and Special Orders 4 days before the job? Then blames it on others? Guess what.... The following week I got the same excuse and Adamo Homes told me to cancel the Home Depot order and go to a nearby competitor because they have what he needs "in stock". I went to Home Depot directly and asked what was going on because Adamo Homes was blaming them and Home Depot was blaming Adamo Homes. Enough is enough. I contacted Home Depot and cancelled everything. They did not apologize and tried to charge me a 15% restock on the materials that were ordered that were late and never showed up. I plan on taking the rest of my total home remodel elsewhere.

I have literally spent hours in the store during my on going remodel, helpful staff, lots of variety. Not thrilled about pets being allowed.
