I first would like to say that being someone who’s worked in customer service over 20 years, this is very hard to write. My husband and I are easy people to please and understand situations can happen. However, we are extremely unsatisfied with the experience as well as the lack of follow up with our situation. We had a leak from our shower and, being we just purchased the property (with a home warranty), we wanted to have it looked at professionally. First off, Glenn (who I will say seemed very nice) showed up 45 min early. We normally don’t mind, but a call or some type of communication would have been nice since I was in the middle of feeding my 7 month old twin boys and waiting for my husband to come home. The gentleman’s response was, “it’s Friday and wanted to get done early,” which I found a little unprofessional to say. I then left when my husband came home to take my boys to get their flu shot and my husband had the rest of the experience with Glenn. Glenn seemed to have no idea what he was doing. My husband mentioned he thought it could be just the drain, but again, wanted a professional opinion. Before even looking at that, Glenn went into my boys’ room and proceeded to make a big hole in the wall. He didn’t even using a tape measure, but from his elbow to finger (which was off) and had to make a 2nd large hole. Glenn had my husband running up and down the whole time and when my husband was sitting on the couch for a moment having some chips, Glenn came down and said “comfortable? Can I get you a drink too?” Now, we’re all about joking around and being friendly, but that is an extremely rude comment to say to someone in their own home (mind you while they’ve been helping nonstop). At the end, when my husband mentioned the 2 holes in our kid’s room, Glenn said “being that it’s through a warranty, we’re not really supposed to be putting holes in walls, so if they ask, I’m just going to say you did it.” What?!? That’s the part that set us over the top. I cannot believe that was even said. We contacted Red Wing and spoke to a woman (which we explained everything) and have yet to get a call back, which is going on 2 weeks. So now I’m sitting with 2 holes in my kids room, my husband was right and it ended up being the drain, and have had no communication from this company (an apology would have been at least nice). I just can’t believe how unprofessional this company is and we will never do business with them again and would advise everyone to steer clear. I will be looking at contacting the Better Business Bureau and Attorney General as this is not sitting right with us.
