As the homeowner, I had Micheal Bourque redraw my washer hookup back to first floor bathroom, after it was closed off when home became a business. He also replaced a cracked pipe in my first floor wall (in which he never patched back again), for the shower on second floor. I noticed that, he had cut into my door moulding with his electric saw; he did not put paper or plastic down on my hallway carpet, and made a tracking stain of dirt exiting from cellar stairs; he broke the knob off my electric box in the cellar; broke a glass bowl while drilling; he removed large pieces of asbestos from cellar pipes, and left it all scattered on the cellar floor; he broke a light bulb off his fixture, and left pieces on cellar floor; and he left all the debris of worksite at my home. Michael insisted that I sign an contract, without a set price. I said that I don't do that, and I prefer to agree on a set price before starting job. I refused to sign, and said that I won't, and have never done jobs by hourly pay because of my limited budget. I once again, clearified with Michael at the time when job was finished, of the total cost for job. Michael replied: a $1,000 dollars. This was also the original price that he gave me prior to him doing job. I did have mother involved in speaking with Micheal, about getting the bill paid. Apparently, Michael sent mother a bill of $1,377.00. I was upset that he was paid that by mother of my monies, for it not being the said amount, and without me being notified of price change. That was not the agreement before and after with Michael and I. Apparently, Micheal also lied that he was at my property 8 1/2 hours; in which he was not. Micheal saw that my mother was desperate, and in care for me, to get the work done, and so I believe Michael took advantage of her. Also, Micheal overcharged for his work, were others charge less, and so is said upon research as well. I let him know through voicemail, of my concerns, and also, that he is no longer to work for me furthermore. In addition, having informed mother of this complaint, she fully agreed to it. She agreed that we were overpriced, and said after having seen the work, she felt we should of paid between $800.00 to $1,000 max. Zaharias Iliadis
Michael Bourque Plumbing & Heating were excellent & we will absolutely call Mike again if we have an issue. He came out on a Saturday within 20 minutes of my call and fixed a leaking heater pipe - stopping the basement flood. Super professional & efficient.
Very professional with top notch service. I recommend him.
