Casey was AMAZING! Super detailed, very patient, and interested in making sure we understood exactly what challenges our air conditioner was facing and what we might do to resolve those challenges. We look forward to a long working relationship with him and Great Lakes Heating and Air.
If you have a small job do not contact this company. They charge you $98 to come out and give a quote. They don't actually quote the work being done they have set pricing already for each job. So even though mine was a small job ($10 for parts, 30 mins labor) they quoted me the $98 service charge + an additional $195 for the install. Not sure why they couldn't just tell me over the phone the minimum job price of $195. I wouldn't have wasted my time and money or the techs time.The only positive experience was the people I talked to on the phone and the tech were great. The tech even seemed a bit embarrassed to quote me that high but said he couldn't go lower than the price that's in the book. I would recommend quoting each job that is being done or don't take small jobs. It wouldn't have been a problem paying the trip fee plus a fare quote. So if the pricing is flat rate why not just give that over the phone?
Be careful. Girl in the office marked my AC as troubled. I never said it was troubled. I just wanted it check out and serviced. I got charged a $98.00 fee just to drive to my house. Then they set me on a maintenance plan for 185.00. So that was a lesson learned just to hear it's working fine. The service tech was great! Be careful what the gals in the office mark down... I've tried calling Liz but when I do she's not in yet.. She has my number if she really wanted to resolve this...
Glad I stuck with them (very minor scheduling issue that they were gracious to resolve). Very professional and honest. Signed up for their membership club and trust them for all my HVAC needs. Had previously used several of the other companies in the area. Great Lakes is hands down the best
Dan is wonderful! He is super knowledgeable, professional, and being a stay at home mom with a toddler, he made us feel so comfortable. He took the time to give me advice to help the longevity of our air conditioner. 5 stars for sure!
