This company was chosen by my home warranty company to replace my garbage disposal. The warranty company called me on June 6th, 2019 and set up the appointment for the morning of Friday June 14th and said the company that they selected, Pardo & Son, would be calling shortly to verify the appointment time. As stated, Pardo & Son called shortly after the call from my warranty company. I told the person I was speaking to that I was not available on that Friday, but that I was off all day on that Wednesday prior...the 12th. He said that would be no problem and set me up for that morning. Monday rolls around and I get another call from Pardo & Son. He wanted to make sure I was good with Friday the 14th to repair the garbage disposal. I paused for a second and told him that I had already received a call from his company and that a Wednesday morning appointment was already set up. His reaction made it obvious he knew nothing about the Wednesday appointment, but he then stated that was okay and he hung up. Fast forward to Wednesday morning. I'm up early to clear out all of the cleaning supplies below my sink to make everything easily accessible for the repair guy. As the start of the appointment window (9am-12pm) comes, I check outside to see if anybody had pulled up yet. Nobody. No worries, though. That's why they give a 3-4 hour window, and I completely understand that. An hour goes by and nobody. Two hours go by and nobody. I called the number of the first guy I spoke to from Pardo & Son just to make sure everything was still good. There's no answer, so I leave a voicemail. Three hours go by and still nobody, and no return phone call. Four hours go by...nobody. I decide to call my warranty company to see what's going on. The representative said he'd give them a call and placed me on hold. After about 5 minutes he came back and said that they needed to change the repair window to 11am - 3pm. Just to make things more clear, Wednesday is my only day off during the week. It is my only day to get things done. Now I'm having to cancel things I had planned to compensate for the new appointment window which pushed three more hours into my day. You can see where my frustration is now. Needless to say, since there is only one star on this review, nobody showed up to repair the garbage disposal. Nobody called either! That just completely blows my mind. How do you run a business with no call no shows?! I'm obviously not the first one here to say this, so it seems to be an ongoing practice. My honest opinion here would be to move to the next company if you are needing a repair. These guys just don't seem professional. No call no shows are not tolerated in most job markets, so why should you have to subject yourself to it from them.
We are 3-time customers (water heater, toilet and kitchen sink). Every time they have been beyond exceptional, professional, on time and thorough. Not letting anyone else near my plumbing. Call them and see for yourself. Thanks again John and co.!
