Despite the fact that everyone I know says if you want to pay a big box store for any kind of install then you need to go with the big Blue instead, I decided to include HD in my list of folks to get estimates from for some installs I'm having done. All of my estimates went great (including one with the big blue) except HD. They didn't listen to a word I said and looked at me like I was stupid. I got the feeling I was more of a nuisance than anything and why on earth would I trust a store that treats you like that with picking out a contractor to do a major install? I won't, and I didn't. I took my business to the local guys myself, who treated me like they wanted my business... probably because with all the money I'll spend, they'll be happy to take it without having to give a big, rude, and unorganized box store a cut.
