Charles Boles review about company Benchmark Plumbing

We built our house in 2009, and Benchmark Plumbing did the work. They installed a type of pipe called PEX. The kind they used was supposed to be the best thing ever, but since then it has been discovered that it breaks down and begins to leak. We had multiple leaks and were advised by Hiller (which incidentally is an awesome company) of the reality that all our plumbing needed to be replaced. I called Benchmark and asked for Nicole, the manager, because I simply wanted to get information on the identity of the manufacturer of the pipe used in our house. She wouldn’t come to the phone and her assistant told me that the company had since gone out of business. We have found out that this wasn’t true. The pipes were made by Nibco, and they are still very much in business. We have now completed six weeks of work in our house. The five full baths, three half baths, two laundry rooms and two kitchens and two water heaters have all been replumbed. Nearly 100 holes in our Sheetrock have been patched and repainted, and we are out nearly $30,000. I’ve just spoken to someone else with a similar problem and he was reimbursed by the manufacturer and he was able to do that by contacting the company’s sales rep. I called Benchmark back today and asked for Nicole and I wasn’t combative or difficult, even though they had given me false info before. I just wanted a contact for the company, as we had already tried to call a number for Nibco that we found online and had gotten no where. Nicole again refuse to come to the phone, and told her assistant to have me google it to find a number. I had not intended to go after them legally, as I am not a litigious person by nature, but they are gonna be hearing from my attorney. If they won’t even lift a finger to find me a phone number maybe they should write me a check.
