Home Services at The Home Depot

The five stars is going to Janet in the kitchen design department. My husband and I just recently purchased a condo and we started looking into custom cabinets. We were totally blown away with how expensive it was going to be to redo a very small kitchen; thus, we began looking at the cabinets Home Depot has to offer. Although we have yet to get the cabinets we selected from Home Depot, I was so thankful we met and worked with Janet in the kitchen design department. Most of our trips to Home Depot end in us being completely frustrated with the customer service but Janet is one employee who goes above and beyond, truly takes an interest in her job and enjoys helping you in your design. I can't begin to say enough about her but if you are thinking about designing a kitchen, please go see her....you will be happy you did!

Best prices in Santa Barbara for all home improvement supplies. I have found the staff (generally there on weeknights) to be courteous, helpful, and readily available. We used their kitchen designer for our new cabinets and couldn't have been happier with the work that he did!

WORST SERVICE EVER! I WENT TO GET A QUOTE ON SHUTTER BLINDS YESTERDAY NIGHT 7/11/2016 WAITED 45MIN FOR 1 REPRESENTED JUST TO TELL ME HE CANT HELP ME AS THAT IS NOT IN HIS DEPARTMENT HE THEN PAGES A WOMEN TO COME HELP ME. 30 MIN PASS STILL NO ONE SHOWS UP. I FIND ANOTHER SALES ASSOCIATE HE STATED HE WOULD SEARCH FOR THE PERSON, SHE WAS FOUND, SHE WAS HELPING ANOTHER CUSTOMER. WE WAIT ANOTHER 30MIN SHE SAW WE WERE WAITNG, SHE WAS STILL WITH THE SAME CLIENT DIDNT BOTHER TO SAY, "I KNOW YOU ARE WAITING I'LL BE WITH YOU AS SOON AS I CAN. I AM FED UP AS I HAVE WAITED OVER AN HOUR. I GO TO THE FRONT DESK THEY ASK HER IF SHE IS ALMOST DONE LOOKS AT ME ROLLS HER EYES AND SAYS I AM BUSY WITH ANOTHER CLIENT SHE (MYSELF) WILL HAVE TO CONTINUE TO WAIT I DONT HAVE TIME FOR HER. THIS WAS RUDE AND UNCALLED FOR. I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO AT LEAST BE ACKNOWLEDGED AND MAYBE I WOULD HAVE WAITED LONGER FOR HER. 2 HOURS SPENT ON WAITING!!!!

I would give ) stars if I could! I ordered and paid for a window, was told it would be 1 - 3 weeks, ended up waiting several months after they cancelled my order because the window they sold me was no longer available (of course, they never told me any of this - I was blissfully waiting for the window) When I finally realized what had happened after they had called me down to the store twice to pick up the window the computer said was in the store - even though it had been cancelled - I finally realized what was happening when I got a statement they had refunded my credit card! Over the phone they reordered "the right" window for me - and today the contractor went to install it and it was WRONG! It has a 3 inch jam (and I need it for new construction - so 4+ inch jam required). My contractor is baffled - I called the window manufacturer and they were too- The best home depot offered? An apology. Eventually they offered me a credit for half off the price of the window, but that won't cover all this debacle has cost me.
