The Hignell Companies

Beware when using this company. They use their own sister company to hike up moving out fees. They almost charged me $2000 after stealing my deposit. The carpet and walls were there for five years before I moved in but for some reason I had to pay for its replacement. When I first moved in the apt was a mess! Literally thousands of bugs in all the kitchen cabinets. The carpet had spilled orange paint on it and was burnt in places. SIMPLY PUT THEY ARE CONMEN.

If I could give this “company” No rating I would. They’re terribly unprofessional, they lie, they steal money, there apartments are complete trash, and they’re just a complete joke. They’re so no worth your money! And definitely not your time! So don’t waist it with them! Find your apartments elsewhere, be smarter than me!

We are travel RNs and used Hignell to rent a duplex for 14 weeks. The people were very accommodating and flexible, getting us approved fairly quickly so we could move into the duplex within a few weeks. Moving out was simple and we got our full deposit refunded. Considering we move multiple times each year, we were impressed with Hignell and will seek them out again next time we have a contract in the area.

The staff is extremely friendly and responsive to tenant needs. I appreciate the social aspect of the small community - there are multiple planned events throughout the month. I appreciate all the amenities, including the hot tub and covered parking. You can't go wrong with Sterling Oaks!
