T s plumbing and heating

Tom fitted a shower for us in November 2018 and has been one of the worst tradesmen I've have ever used.  After fitting it, he told me it was best not to use it as the pipework needed changing due to it being in a hard water area. I thought this odd in a 11 year old house with no other pipework problems, but agreed to changing it.  I told him we couldn't use the shower due to the scalding hot water that couldn't be moderated. He said this was due to the cold water tap being blocked by limescale. However, over the next few weeks he fobbed us off with a variety of flimsy excuses.   When I got back in touch with him on Facebook Messenger to tell him that my increasingly disabled Mother was unable to use the shower as it was coming out scalding hot and it needed to be fixed he saw the message and stopped replying.  In the end we had to get a proper plumber come out to fix it.  He laughed at Tom’s ‘tale’ of the cold water pipes being blocked by limescale.  Apparently Tom had plumbed the shower into the wrong connections which was causing the problem.  It was fixed and has since worked perfectly.  It's strange how he's been unable to find the time to fix his own mistakes. However, now he's begun spamming me with offers for powerflushing and outside tap services. When I need something I'll use a competent and trustworthy Plumber.

Tom's work was to a very high standard when he replaced our washbasin. Good communication throughout and a great looking finished product.
