Called Doug to cap a gas line. He was extremely efficient and professional. His rate was reasonable. I will contact him again the next time I need a plumber!

I first used Doug about two years ago to install our kitchen faucet and change out the shower head in our master. His work at that time was without a doubt 5 stars with regards to quality, however pricing is extremely high. He made his “rate” clear based upon hourly and not the job at hand so I had a general idea. Fast forward a year ago and I asked him to install a dishwasher. We didn’t use him because he quoted his hourly rate with an open ended estimation of $300-500. The appliance dealer had a recommended provider which cost $125 flat rate, which seems comparable with everyone else we spoke with. I understand Doug selective and stirring towards the high end but when you can’t provide a solid estimate for a dishwasher change out I received the impression this small job was unwanted. So a week ago, I asked him to come by and recess a refrigerator waterline and complete plumbing on a new sink, faucet, disposal and dishwasher. I needed the job done for our remodel not matter the cost. He confirmed the appointment and we had several other subs ready to go as soon as his work was done. At 730am he said he couldn’t make it over a traffic accident and followed up 4 hours later saying he wasn’t going to complete the job. I’m not going to question his motives but bottom line he refused to complete the job which is now going to delay us further and further. He cost me a bunch of $$$ today and it sucks. If you are looking for a someone reliable for small jobs on a budget, STIR CLEAR.
