Tom the Gas

Have heard a lot of very good reports of the service given by Tom the Gas so contacted him to service my gas boiler. Attended on time and as promised. Covered area below boiler before dismantling. Very obvious he was familiar with type of boiler. Cleaned the boiler and inspected relevant parts. Carried out required tests with instruments after staring up boiler. Re-assembled the boiler and filled out service/maintenance check list form and provided me with a copy. Cleaned up and left my kitchen clean and tidy as he had found it Truly excellent and professional service.

Unfortunately there is no way to leave less than 1 star, this man is the worst tradesman I have come across in 30 odd years of renovations, after installing our boiler as part of a bigger update to our house every thing seemed to be OK, however approximately 2 months after completion we had our first leak through the lounge ceiling, I managed to stop that, I rang Tom who said sorry & that he would pop round to check it out, he never turned up, approximately 6 weeks after fitting a new ceiling to our kitchen we had our second leak which I again managed to stop however after a third leak we called local (excellent plumber) to have a look ( at this point Tom had stopped answering our calls) he fixed the faulty joint and said " it looks like the pipe work had been thrown in" the main problem was that the central heating pipe work had not been fitted low enough so the floorboards were resting on the pipe work making the joints flex every time someone walked on them, just replaced third join today after a further leak due to same problem, I wouldn't trust this guy to turn a tap on let alone install any plumbing, do yourself a favour if Tom The Gas from barnham turns up on site, run a mile.

Solved various issues in our rented property, would highly recommend!
