A & B Malibu Hardware & Plumbing

Terrible service. The people behind the counter act as if they are doing you a favor by charging you inflated Malibu prices. Would definitely recommend using the only other hardware store in Malibu.

I needed to have a sink replaced. The bids I got from other plumbers were in the 400 dollar range. These guys sent one person who told me it was really complicated, quoted 800 and left after fifteen minutes of talking to his boss about how complicated it was on the phone. I told him the other bids were lower. His boss called me 4 hours later and told me it would actually cost 1200 and then tried to convince me the bids from other plumbers were not for quality work. Then they charged me 100 dollars for the 15 minutes it took them to drive over to my house, four miles away from their headquarters and give me a bid by looking at a simple sink. Nice business model if you can get it. I had quality work done in two hours for 275 with a certified plumber from the valley. with an 80 dollar tip, it came to 355. And the work was fantastic.

Mega expensive and the guys have knowledge of a 5 year old in hardware. The worst I've seen ! I mean it's like they don't even know what a screwdriver is...

I managed to destroy a sump pump and an old outdoor water pipe at once. Water everywhere. It wouldn't stop.I had to shut off all the water. In the morning, I called A+B right when they opened at 8:30 AM.Two hours later, as promised, they showed up. The technicain,Jose P was extremely courteous and professional. He showed me what had happened and explained what he would have to do.I agreed to the work,and by 12:30, Jose P had the sump pump working and the old pipes replaced.I was extrememly please with A+B and very impressed by Jose P expertise and workmanship. Next time, Im calling them and asking for him!
