Ginger Plumbing & Heating

I can’t recommend Ginger Plumbing highly enough. When Keith found out we were without heating and hot water he pulled out all the stops to get us back up and running. Fabulous customer service and a great job done.

I messaged Keith in the early hours of the morning. He arrived at 8.30, assessed the fault, explained fully what was wrong, how the repair could be fixed and the cost of repairing the boiler. Keith returned after a hard day's work, a breakdown and horrible weather. The boiler is now fixed and serviced. We were more than happy to pay his very reasonable fee and thank him very much for removing a huge boiler concern in to a low cost repair. Thank you. Mrs G 181. One week later on Mon we developed a leak from undernesath the boiler unit. I text the plumber twice. He spoke to my husband. He attended Tues evening to say the blocking of the trap He had unblocked for £60 was not at fault, but now needed now have a service for £70 to unblock the unit inside and the trap being blocked was not same fault. My thought, if I had paid £70 for service in first instance I would have paid £70. Now I'm paying £60 + £70 for 2 x jobs! During the service Keith stated he had a water pump in the shed I could have, which would take 20 mins to fit. He couldnt do repair at time of service, so I asked him to fit me in. Because i queried the costing of both repairs, both leak & service behind the inspection plate, which could have been done in one job (not 2 x costs), Keith send an apprentice. The young lad fitted the new 2nd hand returned pump, which now cost me another £50 (not free from shed) and £50 labour (1 hour, not 20 mins). Again I queried cost as that's not what he quoted. Keith said I had a good price. The apprentice took my old pump, even though I had asked for it to be left on site. When I re-requested it, Ginge Plumbing had removed the electrical cover so I could not refurb or reuse the original faulty pump. When I went to his premises and asked for cover, Keith said the apprentice had thrown it away. When I said I would write a review re a list of events, Keith attended my house (4 doors away) within 10 mins with 2 x covers. I chose the correct cover and he left. I was appreciative he stopped the flooding in the first visit. He was quick and the leak stopped for 4 days. Then he promoted service and lied re pump quotation. I'm happy the boiler is now serviced.
