Great service when, as Letting Agents, we have needed it!
On 18 May 2017 Mr Wilson came to our house (we’d recently moved in) to assess several small plumbing jobs and one large one. He was clear, intelligent and perceptive, and seemed well suited to the work. He said he would be back with a new shower head, and an expert colleague to help with drainage, and he took a too short piece of pipe for our water filter to get a longer piece. We next heard from him on 5 June by email: “I might be able to get round by the end of the week.” We never heard from him again. I tried to contact him through his website, which promises a quick reply, and by mobile phone, voicemail, landline phone, answerphone, and email. He didn’t once answer either phone or reply to any message. At first my messages were few and intended to help, e.g. by saying when we would/wouldn’t be at home. Later they became more frequent, eventually several per day to say I required a reply and also the piece of pipe. I was careful not be aggressive or unpleasant. On 28 July, i.e. ten weeks after his visit, my wife went to his house. He was at home; she asked for the pipe, which he found and handed over. He spoke little. Neither of us have received any apology or explanation. Other people working here – decorator, joiner, gardener – have been fine with us, and us with them. Why Mr Wilson behaved like this I have no idea. It was bizarre, mysterious and utterly unsatisfactory.
