Am shortly moving from Swindon after 22 years. Major regret Mick (Hayes) isn't coming with us. Has looked after our heating since the house was a new build; from fitting a gas fire to a complete system replacement when it needed an update. Always at hand on the few occasions we had an emergency (system breakdown depth of winter 2007), no call out fees or extravagant charges. Most of the time we only saw him once a year for the annual service but it was reassuring to know he would be there when required. Thanks Mick, we will honestly miss you.

My 10 year old Worcester Combi 24i (which has been serviced religiously year on year) started suffering from fluctuating water pressure with random leakages. The boiler was shutting down over night resulting in no central heating, When drawing off hot water it was again shutting down – not good when taking a shower. Worcester offered a one of repair at circa £250. A well known gas supplier had a ‘spring’ flash sale with an offer of a replacement boiler at half price £484.50 instead of £969). Not surprisingly I declined the offer following a visit from a Sales rep - who calculated a total cost of £2548.90.to supply and fit. Further on line investigation found Mike of ‘Abbeymead Heating and Plumbing Services’. When I called him he explained quite clearly that he doubted I needed a new boiler. He offered to come and look at it the very next day. It was a revelation to say the least. Inside an hour he had given the boiler a full service, explaining throughout exactly what he was doing and why. Problem solved With the inclusion of inhibitor to the central heating system the total cost amounted to £69.99. I can’t praise Mike enough - Many thanks. Oh the boiler! - 3 weeks on and it has never been working better. I have found a true professional who I highly recommend and one that I will definitely continue to use.

Mike recently replaced a faulty valve to my heating system,very professional & half the price of other local quotes,he also guarantees all his work for 12mths,turns up when he says & cracks on with the job. A complete gent & would definitely recommend,not hard too see why all his ratings are 5⭐️

Mike has just completed a replacement boiler installation for me. Made a good job of the installation, fully registered and certified the works on the spot, left all the relevant paperwork in a neat pack Highly recommend. And I also like to take this opportunity thank Mike for the work and also his recommendations of where to go on holiday! ????
