If I could leave a review with negative stars I would do so after speaking with Anthony of AWM Plumbing just now. The story is that when I married my husband a few years ago he eventually took back a family property in California and I’ve been dealing with trying to get the house to standard and get repairs done (while raising to small children). I called AWM on 4 Oct about a job and I was told by a female that answered the phone that they would be out early the next week. I didn’t hear from them. I sent a message on 11 Oct requesting feedback and was told they had gotten held up and would be out that Friday the 13th. I didn’t hear from them...no update, nothing. I sent his office several messages requesting a status and still heard nothing. Finally called today and the same female answered and said they were passing on the job. And to be clear this is TOTALLY fine. No one has to take a job they do not want. HOWEVER, any professional business should, at the very least, contact the customer to let them know this so that they are informed and can move on. So when I called Anthony to see what the issue was and just to let him know I was disappointed to not hear from anyone he got immediately upset, said he didn’t need a lecture and that I was not his mother and couldn’t tell him how to run his business. He also called me a slumlord bc the tenant is apparently keeping the yard very messy and the house is very old and needs repairs. You can’t call a landlord a slum lord bc the TENANT is dirty. I have to know or have a complaint to prep action to get them to clean up. And if the tenant said something to him that he thought was convoluted it would have been nice if he had just told me instead of making assumptions. So the house issues are just what I am trying to fix! And I have to start somewhere. So to have to listen to his tone while I have my two little ones around was super upsetting to both me and them. I would have honestly been good if he had just owned up to the unprofessional lack of communication by his office just let me know that he decided he didn’t want to take it for health reasons etc. Then I would have simply known that I need to look into the tenants living conditions and move to someone else that might help me get things in order at that house. So in short...this business is unprofessional bc they do not provide timely communication or feedback, and the owner Anthony is rude and unkind. I would never ever recommend them to anyone and I will never call them again. GO ELSEWHERE IF YOU NEED HELP, esp if you are a landlord that is not near the property you own, and as a Military family we move around often and are in need of reliable business that can communicate at the very least.
