Called on an emergency at 3am, came withing 30mins and charged a lot less than some quotes I had received.
I called Linda to de-isolate a boiler that had been isolated by an engineer from currys at the time of installing a gas cooker. He detected a 2 ml bar drop and therefore it was his responsibility to isolate the boiler. He thought it was a loose valve on the boiler so, the next day I called Linda. She had a look at the boiler but mainly she managed to spend 2 hours checking for gas leaks back and ford from the gas meter in the living room to the kitchen. Clearly she wanted to make it her worthwhile. Anyway, by the end of the 2 hours she tells me that the leak is actually under the flooring and she suggests running gas pipes around the house to solve the problem. She also asks me if have a co2 alarm, which I had. She snatched it from the wall, looked at it and said that there was no date on it so, maybe was not working. In a matter of seconds she had one in her hand which she charged me £25 for. As it turns out the other one is working just fine. My point is that I felt that I was overcharged £222 (including the CO2 alarm) to be told that there was a gas leak which I already knew anyway so, the problem remains. Linda charges £80 an hour + VAT, when one pays that kind of money (most people don't earn that in a day, never mind in a hour) one really feels that has been taken for a ride, particularly when the problem has not been solved. In all honesty I would not recommend Linda to anyone!!!!!
Called out to service my mother in laws boiler. They overfilled the heating system causing it to bypass and leak. They explained that it was faulty due to this leaking and said the boiler needed replacing. They even pulled the fuse so it appeared dead. Completely disgusted with how they took advantage of her. I'd get a second opinion like we did and save yourself a fortune.
Linda replaced my boiler for me. From coming out to quote the job right the way through to completion of the job Linda was very clear in her communication with me, she arrived on time each time she visited and did a top class job for the price that she quoted.
