Cody was awesome. We had problems with our on demand hot water system. No one could figure out why it was not working properly, not even the sales rep or installer. Along came Cody, figured out the reason, fixed it!
Called to have a gas line extended to accommodate a new cooktop as our very expensive induction cooktop died - again - and we wanted to switch to gas. I spoke with Cody, the proprietor, and explained that another Gibsons-based contractor I had contacted beforehand (who did the original installation in the house) didn't even bother to return calls. Cody promised "he wasn't like that". We arranged a time for him to come and see the job firsthand. He promised to call my wife first as I was in Vancouver that day but...he never called and didn't show up. He didn't have the common courtesy to call and explain why. I called him back and sent several txt messages. He knew we weren't able to cook anymore and so he promised to come last Thursday to "do the job". I took a day off work to be there for him and to answer any questions that might arise. He didn't show up, again. No call, nothing. When I called later that morning to ask what time he'd be there, he said in the afternoon and I asked him if that would be enough time to do the work to which he said, "oh, we're only coming to look the job over". I was more than a little surprised but suggested I just take some pix and txt them to him. I did and he then calls back and says, "we aren't going to take the job because we're not set up to do that kind of work". Wow! Really? Why did you waste my time, my wife's time and cost me a day's work? VERY poor communication, ZERO commitment and exceedingly poor business ethics. I'd give Cody a negative star if I could. Don't use him, call John Sadler instead!
