Leo's Plumbing & Heating Ltd

We have used Leo's Plumbing and Heating several times in the past for plumbing issues and been pleased with the work however, we feel we have been ripped off by Leo’s Plumbing and Heating for a recent heating issue. We called Leo’s to repair our furnace which had stopped working in January. John came the same day and told us that a part needed replacing and would need to be ordered in. In addition, for some unknown reason, John turned off the hot water heater during his first visit and failed to turn it back on when he left. We realized this when we ran out of hot water. The visit took no more than 15 minutes and cost $180.00 in labor fees (turning off the hot water heater was free). The part took one week to arrive from Calgary (another week of no heat - part must have been sent by mail) and cost us another $90.00 for John to pick it up in Burnaby. We think it should have been sent to Leo’s address in Kitsilano or even to our address. If we had been told it would cost $90.00 for John to pick it up from Burnaby, we would have opted to pick it up ourselves and saved the money. It took no more than 15 mins to install the part and cost another $180.00 in labor. Leo made a big deal of telling us that they charged at cost for the part, and did not add any mark-up. I guess there was no need for mark-up with the excessive labor charges. Maybe I am very naive and maybe all trades folk charge the same amount for first and second visits, but after reading this, you will be armed with the questions to ask up front so that there are no surprises.

Good customer service and also years of technical knowledge that simply you will not find better elsewhere. This vendor has the experience and knowledge required to fix the problem whether it is large or smaller scale in nature. Very good business. Also their staff are extremely pleasant. I had a really good customer service experience here. I came into the store looking to replace a piece for my bathtub but they informed me it could be repaired. The gentleman that helped me spent a long time finding the items to repair my bathtub fitting and did the work himself to make sure it was done properly. He didn’t charge me any extra and saved me a ton of money doing a repair rather than replacing the whole thing. Great service!

We have called Leo's many times over the past 4 years for our hair studio in Kits and they are consistently excellent. They always make us a priority when we have emergencies and the team is professional and friendly. Great service, great value. Will continue to give Leo a call for many years to come!

These guys NEVER show up! Didn’t show up for us last year, one of our neghbours 6 months ago and another neighbour yesterday. How can u rate someone who doesn’t show up!! Don’t bother calling.
