Plumber showed up on time, but seemed like he did not want to be there. Said he would have to remove a large section of my wall because the access panel was not large enough and he'd set the house on fire soldering if he didn't remove the wall and two studs. Said the job would start at $300-$400 and a few hours of labour probably on top of that. All this to replace a valve for the shower. Oh and I'd be left with a hole in my wall. I called a different plumber a friend recommended. $80 and no hole in my wall. And my house did not burn down. Access panel was perfectly fine after all.

We had our backwater valve and pump out/battery backup system installed by Northstar January 2018. Work was done on time, very professional, very neat job, everything was explained about this preventative flood system. We had experienced 2 floods in this Lakeshore area we had recently moved to and we now feel reassured that we have done everything as a homeowner we can do to prevent flooding into our home. The recent service follow up was excellent and the yearly service gives us a sense of security going forward. Thank you Northstar.
