Chris did a great job and was quick about it. Was not overcharged for wasted time as has happened in the past. Thank you Chris.
Was charged over 3 extra hours so called and asked why why and never received a call back. So called again and told I would get a call back. Still no call, no message, nothing. Then got a nasty message telling me I was going to collections for non payment. Called them and advised them I was trying to pay bill after an explanation of the charges, but THEY had not called me back twice I was told I would have a call back the next day at 8:30. At 9 am still no call back. Why would I be surprised that Archie Horn &Son never returned a call? It isn't like they didn't call before. Finally got a call where they assured me the charges were right. When they looked again they had billed extra hours they weren't even here. No apology. They gave me the right rate making me feel like they were doing me a favour for deducting the charges they had fraudulently charged me. I paid the new bill right away. I informed them the problem was never fixed and I had to have another company come in to fix it. Then got a bill in mail where they highlight that account was going to collections where anyone could see it was in collections as it was not professionally or confidentially. Something a cheap, low life would pull. Best part is it was sent out after I had paid account. Think twice of dealing with this company. They over bill significantly and don't apologize for their mistakes They make you feel like they are doing you a favour when they correct THEIR mistake They don't fix the problem yet threaten you and embarrass the customer. They send nasty message which is unprofessional and childish whereas if they had just called back or even better didn't try to rip off their customers in the wouldn't first place would have bill already paid Send out unprofessional shame letters to customer using a highlighter whereas confidential information is not kept confidential. Company acts like a spoiled child throwing a temper tantrum. Think twice
Was quoted $1300 - $1700 to install two supplied residential radiators. My General Contractor was witness to the verbal quote. Work done well but then invoice for almost $3000 mailed to me. I called to discuss. Spoke to receptionist who advised that someone would follow up with me which didn't happen. Now April and I receive a copy of the original invoice threatening "Collection Agency" if not paid by April 2. Very unprofessional way to run a business. I'm out of the country now and just sent e-mail asking them to wait till my return to discuss/resolve....we shall see. I will update this post with hope Archie Horn & Sons becomes more responsive.

Very unprofessional by owner Curtis Horn (Archie Horn & Son) to cancel an hour prior to meeting with my contractor. Curtis said that they are too busy and to find another plumber as they didn't appreciate discounting their overcharges/damages on their work to my property. I spent over $4K with Archie Horn & Son year to date. Archie Horn does over charge after work is complete, they did adjust the price afterwards but you have to prove yourself on their mistakes/errors. The discounting was done because they broke my tile and scratched my bathtub ($150 discount) during a clogged drainage. Additionally, they charged an extra 2 hours because their GPS said the truck arrived, although their was two trucks and they didn't start working until the second truck pulled in. When Dave Jardine @ Archie Horn & Son returns your calls for heating, it's like winning the lottery as he rarely returns calls (maybe he'll change after reading this, or not). I will say that employees Chris and George are great for plumbing and heating, although upper management Curtis Horn and Dave Jardine are delusional and unprofessional. I do have other work that needs to be done that would have have been in excess of the $4K spent (City main water relocation, toilet relocation, rad relocation), but Curtis Horn is a short sighted man and sided with a Dave Jardine, who never returns calls in a timely manner or at all. I'll look for another company to do my work and I suggest that who ever is reading this that you do the same.
