Phoned for a part for my gas fireplace. Was told they get back to me and never did. Guess they couldn't charge there exorbitant fees on the part. Went to Byers heating in Bancroft and they didnt have any problem fulfilling my order. Thanks Byers you just gained a future customer.
Guys were great and did an excellent job. Very pleased with both the stove and the installation. Were very professional.
Contacted Terry regarding Complete Heating, Cooling and HRV install for a new house build. He was quick to respond and commence work when required. The layout design and work performed by Dean and fellow employees was exceptional, neat and tidy workmanship, a real testiment to people who take pride in their work. It was a pleasure doing business with this company. Their workmanship has not gone unnoticed with other contractors and friends, which, is great advertising in itself. Sold us a fireplace a few years ago WITHOUT an authorized 'placard' that is supposed to be present in EVERY fireplace to show that it can be used in Canada. Without this placard (hard rating plate), you cannot legally get propane delivery. We have gone back and forth with this company trying to get this necessary placard so that we can get propane. Terry does not like to respond to emails or EVEN return phone calls. When he has answered the phone, he indicated that he is looking into it - but is not sure what else he can do...?. What kind of answer is that? 'Not sure what you can do?' How about selling us a LEGAL fireplaces that has the proper ATTACHED rating plate that will allow a propane company to deliver propane to us?! I doubt many customers would know to look for this particular placard when purchasing a fireplace - (we certainly didn't) but one would assume that a company that sells fireplaces would do their own Quality control CHECK to ensure what he is selling his customers is legal and has all proper documentation before it leaves his location. Neither Hawley's, nor the manufacturer are taking responsibility for this error. Also, when our fireplace was first installed - we could smell that familiar rotten egg (leaking propane) smell around the outside of our cottage by the tank so we had to call to get this serviced as well. I can't imagine what could of happened if this wasn't caught in the early stages of installation. As an update, It's been over a year since this began and earlier this summer we filed a claim through the BBB and both he, AND the manufacturer 'Travis Industries' still refuse to help us in any way with this mess. They do not take any ownership or accountability into helping us resolve the issue that we cannot get propane delivery. We simply asked for an updated rating plate for our current fireplace insert...or... replace the one that is in there with a rating plate so that we can finally get propane delivery again and they have just stubbornly ignored us. I assume their response is to just bury their heads in the sand and hope that we will just go away - but we won't. We are in the process of going through other avenues to get this done. I would NEVER, EVER recommend using this company or the manufacturer of the fireplace 'Travis Industries' for that matter, because their customer service has been, by far, the worst I have ever experienced so far in dealing with a business complaint.
Excellent service, helpful professional staff. Our furnace gave up, and these guys came to our rescue! Fair pricing, and super clean install. These guys know what they're doing, definitely recommend!
