Called to see if I could get a plumber for a next day job, and after being on hold was told that there were no plumbers available and was hung up on.

I am beyond disgusted with the lack of customer service I received from Valley Burner Svc The oil tank at my rental unit ran dry of oil so my furnace needed to be primed. There was a H. E. Armstrong Mechanical sticker on my unit so I decided to call them. About two weeks later I receive a bill in the mail for $484.44. Apparently they not only did they need to prime my furnace, but they needed to install by one, but two control boxes to make the unit work. When I asked for some explanation they told me the first box shorted out due to improper wiring in the furnace, something I find hard to believe as the unit has been promised before with no issues. I tried to reason with them on the phone and told them I had no problem paying the total amount but I would appreciate if they only hatched me for one control box. They basically laughed at me. I fell it is totally unacceptable to add $400.00 to a clients bill without getting their consent. If you took your car to a machanic to get the oil changed and came back only to find they added $400.00 worth of parts, do you not feel that justifies a phone call to make sure the closing is ok with it?? I hope the $170.00 for that extra box was worth losing a customer for life. Update: Just an update, after I made this post the company called me and refunded me half of the bill. Thank you Valley Burner Svc for doing the right thing.
