Called to see if I could get an appointment unfortunately his calander was booked and he was not taking any new residential clients at this time. He did however give me some great suggestions on how I could find someone trustworthy for my job.

Window air conditioner died. Husband thought he could remove and replace by himself. Not! Husband was able to remove the old air conditioner, but admitted he was at a loss as to how to install the new air conditioner when he couldn't shut the window. Old wood windows had been painted shut, which left a big hole in our house. I called Vic's Handyman Services, conveniently located a few blocks away, and within less than thirty minutes, Chris and Tom rolled up, jumped out of their truck, looked at the window and the new air conditioner, and immediately began to unfreeze the window, and begin installation of the window ac. Very professional, knew exactly what they needed to do, and did an excellent job of installing the new air conditioner. Chris said that he knew they had to come right away once I told them we couldn't shut the window, because it was an safety issue. You really can't get much better than these guys, and we will definitely be calling in the near future. Highly recommend Vic's Handyman Services in Portsmouth, VA.

I wasn't able to experience b/c they are not taking any more residential clients at this time; they are filled to capacity. Would've loved to have hired based on reviews, was disappointed to find that out. The gentleman I spoke with was very courteous.

I am in my 6th year of working with Vic's handyman services. Vic goes out of his way to help me. The first time I worked with him, he met me on a Sunday morning. He went to a Section 8 inspection for me, as I was out of town for school. Vic has done about 75 jobs for me, some small, some quite large. He is always on time, and in that rare occasion, he will call me if he is running late. He has only had to cancel one appointment if those 6 years, and this was due to an emergency job he had to take care of. Vic's prices are fair, his workmanship is excellent, he always cleans up after the job. Vic works on my rental properties and my personal residence. I am very pleased with his work, and all of my tenants are also.

I had my doorframe repaired. Chris the owner was very nice and professional. He did extra than what he was required to do. It even started to rain and he closed my windows for me and wiped down the windowsills. I think that shows alot about character. I would definitely recommend him to anyone.
