Way way WAY overpriced. Quoted me $5800 to install a sump pump on the outside of my house, and put in a French drain. $2200 if the price was just the sump pump. Blew me away. Their scheduling for appointments was also super bad. The first appointment they showed up 30 minutes before the appointment window, and called me after the guy was there saying he was 20 minutes away. We rescheduled since I wasn’t home and the next time I got a call saying he was an hour away (half way through my 3 hour appointment window), but guy didn’t show up for 2 more hours. He ended up coming outside the appointment window entirely. I was not impressed. The only reason for 2 stars is the guy who came was pretty nice and knowledgeable, even gave some suggestions outside the bid. That and the people I spoke to on the phone were very nice. All and all I do not recommend Roto-Rooter.
Called for a simple clogged toilet and instead of fixing it they made it 100 times worse than it was! Busted a pipe and flooded the basement (toilet they worked on is upstairs!!) I just repaired these walls less than a week ago and have to completely tear them back down because of these lovely people that clearly don’t know anything. Not to mention today was the third time they’d been here for THE SAME CLOG!!! Clog was never fixed and now my basement is flooded
I had to think about this, but i know it needs to be told. We just bought our house 2 weeks ago, and have major unseen plumbing problems. First off the first plumber sent refused to come do the work after seeong the situation for 5 minutes. The next came out the next day, he fixed a part of the plumbing within the first 45 minutes. Then trouble began in the next 4 hours. Going through our pipe he noticed that we had a shared line (not true) and the line was full of roots. However it is more extensive than that. In all his work he found a different port to snake from, went through it more times, and started to pack up. In his packing up he broke a part of our main sewer line off. In attempt to fix it, he did a temp fix put some flex tape on it, and started to spray a aerosol of flex seal on it as well. This is a big NO. The space he was working in was no more than a foot from our gas water heater. It caught fire!!! We are all very lucky to be here, and not blown sky high. Our kids were playing upstairs, as well. If it wasnt for me taking the water line off the washer it wihld have been very different. He never did offer anything else, and we paid for his mistakes. We are now working with another company and are never going back to roto rooter. If I could give a zero it would be zero plus 1000, or more. Not satisfied at all!
Roto rooter has helped me with my plumbing problems the last two times and have done an amazing job and listened to what needed to be done I called another company because I couldn’t remember who I used two years ago for my problem and they wanted to charge me 800 for the same thing that roto rooter is doing for more then half the price I will always remember their name from now on for my plumbing problems. Thanks again
Our technician was very nice, but instead of trying to fix the problem, he told us we needed 2 new water heaters for $2600. We did the repair ourselves and it only costed us $12, which with labor would have been about $100 if we had a technician do it. To me it felt like he didnt want to bother with determining what the problem was, but instead just opted for a quick, expensive fix. Thanks, but no thanks.
