Called to get a plumber out to look at a clogged toilet at our house. Went with Jordan and Sons (unfortunately). Was told someone would be there between 2-5pm. Plumber didn’t show up till close to 7pm. Then the plumber says it’s $75 trip charge, $225 to snake/ogger the clog. Total was $453. I called back to ask about the charge he said there is also a diagnosis fee. I said can I get the detailed recipet he said you should get it Monday... (3days) later. Very disappointed. Lack of customer service, late arriving and not punctual service, and also way overpriced and has hidden costs. No one in the office said there would be a diagnosis fee. Just the $75 trip charge plus service. Avoid this company at all costs. Plenty of other reasonable, professional and quality of service plumbers out there.
Initially I was enthused to work w this company because they had quick availability and Gary seemed to want to help since I live in NJ & really needed to make sure the repairs on my home inspection were completed for the new buyers of our Myrtle beach condo. However, the day before our appt I received a quote for $950 for a home inspection which is different than the $75/hr service call I agreed to & gave my credit card number for. I called the office & inquired, Andrea told me they were closing & she would call when they opened. She didn’t so I called back & was informed this was the price for them to come & look at the work but wouldn’t be credited towards or include any of the repairs. Additionally, if I wanted to proceed I needed to pay half of the quoted price before my appt. HA!! As if. Why wasn’t I told this when I made the appt? Why would they charge $475 for electrical & $475 for a plumbing inspection when I forwarded the $250 home inspection completed by a surveyor recommended by rhe county? Who would pay 1k for someone to look around? And why would they wait for ME to contact them the day of to sort the situation? Perhaps they had quick availability because they have little clientele which I totally understand.
We saved thousands of dollars finding our own leak! Installed a water heater and did a fine job no problems !
