Norm, the Petro technician assigned to our case, is great. He quickly diagnosed the trouble, knew exactly what needed to be done and did what was necessary unhesitatingly. He was vey knowledgeable about the UltraGuard product for our oil tank and provided honest and objective recommendations. We'll request Norm specifically for any future service calls.
We had a leak in a pipe going into our heater. I called Petro and they came out quickly. They fixed it in no time. They always have great service day or night. We have been a customer of theirs for 37 years.
The representative took his time to ensure we were getting the best deal.
Horrible service! I was told that as part of the contract they will come and do cleaning and replace a filter for the furnace! The guy came in turned my heater off and said I will not start it back up since it's old and not working properly. There was no issue with the furnace before. They refuse to start it back up and threatened me that they will stop oil deliveries if I or a contractor that is not employed by PETRO will start it up or inspect it or if needed fix it. It's 18 degrees outside and I have elderly parents living here. I called them to inform them that their actions can cause my pipes to freeze up and can cause serious health issues they said it's not a problem we can come install a new system for 12,000 dollars.
Last October had my heater serviced, the technician left my humidifier and condensation pump unplugged. This summer I turn on the AC and the blower motor does not work. Called for emergency service from the company that installed it. The reason it didn't work was because Petro left the humidifier on my heater unplugged. It was a long time before they realized the AC was not the issue and looked at my heater. Cost me $355, Petro offered me a free service plan which they said cost $441.90, I said I am not looking for anything extra, just a credit on my account for what I had to pay. Their reply to that was to offer me $129 to "rectify my claim" How does that make any sense, just maybe they were not offering me anything close to the $441.90 that they claimed. This company does not stand behind their workmanship.
