So I called roto rooter as I had a drain blocked outside of building. They seemed confused on why i was calling. Asking if I knew what they did, and I said I thought they cleared drains. Anyways they had a tech call me, he was fairly nice and polite, said the blockage was probably 100 feet down the line and they needed a special truck to help do the work and he quoted me $2000.00. I asked what thay I cluded, he said it was the premium platinum plan, unless the drain pipe is broken they will unclog it and backwash it and clean up to include where sewage backed up in the building. Great I I said si ge I'm out of town and did not want the tenants to have to deal with the mess. He said he would text me when they got onsite and let me know what they find. No text came but my credit card let me know I've been charged. Not a big deal as there where no issues so I did not mind the lack of promised comunication, Come to find out they left a huge mess for the tenants to clean up and it stunk, yes I am aware of the fact it's a sewage drain, but I was told part of my premium platinum package was they would take care of it. They did not. I called roto rooter and they called me back the next day. Said they were sorry and would take care of it. All good I thought, I sent message to tenant who thanked me, only to get a call later saying they said they did clean up. Offered to go back for an extra $1500!!! All I have to say is call the drain doctor or even as I learned too late just Google drain clearing for a local person, it would have been much less expensive and probably not as much miss communication. Also they have a lot of weird numbers that show on your phone. On the bright side they did clear the drain. I wont use them again, professional scammers I believe.
Very disappointing service. The 1st day we waited for 3 hours only to then be asked to reschedule. The 2nd day we waited for 2.5 hours at which point we were told the service man was in traffic and doing the best he could, no arrival estimate offered. "Weather" and "traffic" happens but there were many opportunities to update us on more accurate arrival times or the need to reschedule which were not capitalized on. Rude service, poor service, poor communication, no way to run a business.
