They charged me $600 ($115 hourly rate) to fix a leaky shower faucet two years ago. Joe replaced the faucet with a $175 Delta that I was told had a lifetime warranty. The faucet started leaking again today. When I called Mike Leonard's plumbing they told me to call Delta faucet company and they might send me the parts to fix it for free. I understand that Delta offers the warranty but I paid Mike Leonard's plumbing (a lot of money) for the repair, not Delta, so it would have been good customer service to offer to make this right instead of pushing me off onto your parts supplier.
Prompt. Friendly and very helpful. Sent me a quote regular mail and email for my proposed work.
Mike and his are always professional and courteous. The do the job right the first.
BEWARE! they will overcharge you! I had them come to replace two sump pump‘s and was told there would be a charge to come out and give me an estimate for the work that would be deducted if I had them do the job. I agreed and set up an appointment for 8 AM today. I got a text at 10 of eight saying they were on their way they got to my house about 10 or a quarter after eight. They came in they looked at the pumps and I showed them a few other things but I thought they might be able to help me with and just made small talk for about an hour and 15 minutes. Then I was told to fix the pumps put a pressure gauge on my well and fix the Spicket head outside would be in the $800 range. I agreed to that and they started working about 9:30 AM. The pumps were replaced pressure gauge was put on the wellThe new Spicket head was put on the Spicket outside. I’m not a plumber but it seem to be taking them an awful long time. Finally at 11:20 AM I was handed a bill for $1137.50. I was told that they were deducting the labor of the second guy that he brought with him to replace two sump pump’s. I had no idea about the second person I had no idea when the appointment was made that there would be a second person coming. I had no idea replacing some pumps was a two person job. Anyway in the end I was charge $422 in labor which was 3 1/4 hours. I was charged from my appointment time at 8 AM till 11:15 AM. They didn’t even show up at 8 AM. UPDATE: I had a call from Mike Leonard himself to discuss my invoice and experience with his team. He was very nice and apologetic for the miscommunications and things that were not clearly explained. He insisted on making it right and offered to send me a check refunding the amount over the estimate I was given. He seems to be a man with a lot of integrity who really cares about his business practices and his customers experience. I have to give him a lot of credit for making things right. I think I will give them another chance in the future. Billing issues aside, they did do a good job with the work I asked them to do.
Their guy came over for a water pressure problem. We thought we would have to replace a lot of our water service parts, pump, tank etc, but the tech found the pressure switch to be the problem, everything fixed and working good.
