I spoke to Ashley who quoted a price of $115/hr plus an equipment fee of $125 to clean out our footing drains. When the guy shows up he says the first hour will be $340 because it's $55 extra for each of the four pipes that daylight right next to each other (plus a $5 fee they also failed to mention but that's insignificant). The job was quoted as a hourly and no mention was made of any per pipe or any other fees. Tom who is the owner refused to honor the hourly rate even though both he and Ashley acknowledged they had not told me about any additional charges. Clog Busters might do good work but that doesn't excuse attempting to jack up the rate for the first hour to almost three times what was quoted. Response to Clog Buster's Post. Tom is being disingenuous in his response to my post. This was a by the hour job. The quoted rate was $115/hr plus a $125 equipment fee. When their guy arrived I was told there would be additional fees of $220 plus $5. The numbers Tom refers to was our discussion that the job would take several hours. If I had asked for and Ashley had quoted a fixed rate for the job that would be one thing but that isn't the situation. Tom is attempting to explain away why having quoted an hourly rate his company tried to lather on additional charges of $225. When I gave him a chance to do the right thing and honor the rate that Ashley freely admits she quoted, he refused. Assuming this was a genuine mistake on their part they would have honored the hourly rate they quoted. That Tom refused to do so indicates to me that either he doesn't care about that or this was more than a simple error on their part. Although Tom says he doesn't know how this could have gone any differently the answer to that is having quoted $115/hr plus a $125 equipment charge he would have honored the rate. Instead he attempts to explain away his refusal to do so by trying to make it appear this was a fix rate job. It wasn't. Whatever hours the job took, I was paying for. What I wasn't willing to do is pay an additional $225 above the quoted hourly rate that appeared out of nowhere when their man arrived on site and was just about to start work.

Clog Busters was great! They were able to come out the next day and fix my clogged bathroom sink within 10 minutes. I would recommend Tom and his team to anyone!

So we had a kitty emergency during our renovation and one of our cats had gone somewhere in-between the first and second floor and Tom, the owner and cat aficionado, came over to try and scope in the joists. Tom came in the middle of his work day, all the way out in NE in Cully, to help us find Shanks the Cat, and didn’t charge us a dime. Incredible! I have worked with this company several times as a real estate broker and they have gone above and beyond to make the sewer scope work (climbed on the roof- crawl through hellish crawl spaces, etc) and after this crazy experience I now know that the whole company culture is all about helping and service. When I called in begging for cat assistance they had no idea who I was- and I didn’t say that I had worked with them through my clients. Wasn’t until afterwards, after Tom said it wouldn’t cost a dime, when we got to talking that came to light as I hadn’t met him before on the inspections and learned then that he was the owner. Wild! We love these guys and are so, so grateful for their help- yay Clog Busters!!!

Weekend before Christmas, and both toilets were clogged and we were expecting company! Clogbusters came out and solved the problem, gave advice for the future and didn't charge me as a Christmas present. Wow! He was pleasant the whole time and was diligent in making sure that we were clear all the way out to the sewer. Now that's service!
