I've had SOS out several times now after having used a few other plumbers in the valley. They are the ones I'm going to stick with. Their prices are competitive, the plumbers are pleasant and knowledgeable, and their office people are excellent -- not to mention their work is good and guaranteed. I can't ask for more than that!

Read on for more details but bottom line is they started to pull out our water heater without verifying that is what we wanted and then tried to charge us for the "work" that we never agreed to. After calling to complain about the service and hoping for them to take responsibility for starting work without us agreeing to it, they acted like they were doing us a favor by eating the cost of work we didn't ask for. Basically my wife called up to get an estimate/advice on possibly replacing our leaking tanked water heater with a tankless or what other options they had. After quick introduction my wife said that our water heater was leaking from the bottom, and the dispatcher being quite busying (even saying this on the phone to my wife) immediately cut in and said she would send someone out (good customer service there if we had wanted it immediately replaced). My wife didn't think much of it, having been cut off before explaining about the estimate bit, and figured she would just get the estimate from the person who came out (that's our bad for not interrupting and explaining further). My wife while corralling our dog and 4 year old opens the garage shows the plumper the tank and starts asking questions about the work it would take to do a tankless as a replacement instead of the kind we had. She gets a couple of general quotes 2500+ for tankless as opposed to 700-800 for just replacing with the same model we have. At some point in the conversation the plumber says he needs to go get a hose to drain this one and then he'll be back. She doesn't really understand what he needs a hose for but she hadn't said whether she wanted to do the tankless or not so she said "ok". The plumber comes back and starts draining the water heater and my wife asks him if that has to be drained and he says yeah or it could completely fail. So she just thinks he's going to drain it then discuss what type of water heater she wants to go with etc. Nope, while she is distracted by the kid and the dog he gets another water heater out of the truck and has started uninstalling our old one. At this point my wife is flustered and calls me. So anyhow to shorten an already long story I had to come home (had to take time off work) talk to the plumber and then after he refused to take any responsibility at all for the mistake I had to call the company to complain. In the end they didn't charge me for the work so that is the reason this is a 2 star instead of 1 star. But nobody wanted to take responsibility for the mistake, and I just don't get that. It's easy to tell what a customer wants... you ASK them. A simple question about what kind of water heater she wanted to go with could have solved this whole issue. And more than that once the customer tells you "hey stop I didn't tell you to do that" you stop and appologize for the misunderstanding and ask what they do want.

Well, the first 2 places we called didn't even bother returning our calls! So then we called SOS. They were super nice on the phone and came out first thing the next morning. Paul was prompt, professional and did a great job in minimal time. He also explained our septic system for us as we just moved in recently. Their card is going on our " call back list". Thanks so much!

After putting up with an annoying dripping faucet in the master bathroom, suddenly our problem became much worse and water started pouring slowly but steadily until I finally shut off the flow under the sink. I then called SOS Plumbing here in Talent. The person who took my call was extremely courteous as I explained the situation and then scheduled a service call for the following morning. The plumber arrived right on time and then went straight to work. After looking at my situation, he explained the problem to me in understandable terms and I appreciated it very much. I then had him fix the one sink and do the other too as it was showing signs of wear. I am very impressed with this company and will call them again if ever I have another plumbing need. I recommended this company highly!!
