We recently had a water pipe burst underneath the foundation of our house, and was recommended to Help Services by another plumbing company for specialized leak detection at $275. We were told and briefed by a friendly manager/owner about how they specialize in leak detection only and get the job done really fast. After agreeing that we wanted this service, they were able to get us in the next day. The technician was very friendly and was quick to do his service, finding one water leak in our kitchen. Everything was good - until we (emphasis on we, ourselves) found another hot water leak that same day which was after business hours. When they opened, my husband informed them that there was another leak and they did not do anything about it - no discount, refund, or even offer to return to the home and do one more thorough inspection of the home for additional leaks. My husband stated that they weren't rude about it, but had a "So what?" attitude. I personally don't feel that they are terrible people, but the aftermath following a flaw in their service should have been handled, especially if you are going to pay $275, only to find another leak that should have been picked up by the technician in the first place (imagine the added frustration of planning a plumbing repair around this leak, only to redo everything again to incorporate the additional leak(s)). So the 2 stars are for the people, but the missing 3 stars is for the aftermath leaving it an unpleasant experience.
I would recommend this company to anyone who needs a leak detected under there home, They were friendly on the telephone. Nathan came out the next day, on time and detected a leak under my cement floor. He assured me that it was leaking in the spot he marked with a piece of tape. I then scheduled Andys Plumbing to fix the leak. After they removed the carpet and cement floor the leak was right where Nathan said it was. I hope i dont need you again but if i do i will call Help Services first.
