Robert, the serviceman was knowledgeable, professional and identified the situation immediately. When the part didn't fit as expected he had enough experience to remedy the situation quickly. Pompeii's Plumbing has been our "go to" on numerous occasions and we'll continue to utilize them.
Wonderful company! Fast service!! They called me back right away and Ian is amazing! Answered all of my questions. Such a wonderful and knowledgeable guy.
Ron was absolutely amazing! The first time he came out (at 4 am no less!) he was professional and had a fantastic can-do attitude. He was extremely knowledgeable and was able to quickly get my furnace running again until he could get the needed part. He ordered the part as promised and followed up promptly. When he came back to do the repair he was on time and once again very knowledgeable and professional. I could not be happier and will be a forever customer! Thank you!
We had a 5 head mini split system installed by Ron & Chris. The entire experience was fantastic, from the quote stage to the final day of installation. Ron was always available to reach and gave honest feedback. I felt that we were in good hands throughout the process. Our house is a 1915 colonial that had no duct work. Ron presented a thoughtful solution. When Ron & Chris came for the installation, they were very polite and pleasant. You can tell they love their job and their customers. We are pleased with the operations and the appearance of the Daikin units they chose for each room. After the installation, Ron came back to ensure the system was running properly and meeting our expectations. I really appreciate the hard work and great all-around service from Pompeii.
We called Pompeii's because we've been having a sewer gas smell when we turn on our a/c. We've had two HVAC companies out already and both have made clear it's not our furnace or a/c. We had a new sump pump installed the week this smell began. We called out the plumber who installed it and they said the smell was not related to plumbing. we knew it was sewer gas and wanted a second, unbiased opinion. We also wanted a more professional inspection with cameras etc. The scheduler with whom I spoke to make our appointment with Pompeii's assured me that the technicians have cameras and would look down our basement drain (I told her when we pour water and bleach down it, the smell stops -- and the drain is connected to our new sump). She asked if we'd ever had the main line jetted to clear out any debris that could be causing sewer gas to back up -- I told her no -- but we'd be interested in trying it. I told her and the techs that my dad was a pipefitter but currently recovering from hip replacement and he told us to check the sewer gas vent on the roof to be sure it wasn't clogged. She assured me all of this would be looked at. The technicians came and did none of the above. All they were interested in was selling us a duct cleaning. Yes, our ducts may be dusty (we bought the house just a few years ago so we don't know if they've been cleaned), but dusty vents smell like mold or dirt etc. -- not sewer gas which is distinctive. They suggested an animal could have died in the vent -- which is possible in any home -- but again, does not smell like sewer gas and this has been going on for a month and a half now so we're pretty sure any animal would be almost totally decomposed by this point and not smelling stronger than ever. They did not even use a camera to look down the basement drain -- or any drain. They just declared it a duct cleaning issue. If that's true, why didn't it smell when we ran the furnace a few months back? When we asked if they could just look at the sewer gas vent on the roof they told us it would cost $330 JUST TO LOOK!!! These guys had a single agenda which was to sell us a duct cleaning and had no interest in doing what we needed -- which was to thoroughly check our pipes and find the source of the sewer gas. With a price of $330 just to look at a pipe and see if it's clogged at the exhaust point -- I had no interest in knowing what else they charge for other services. We'll never call them again and will not recommend them. I gave two stars only because they made the wise decision not to charge us for the house call -- because they did absolutely nothing -- and that's a good thing because I would have refused to pay it.
