A J Plumbing

My experience with AJ Plumbing was unpleasant. I had frozen pipes on my lake property. AJ cut off my insulation and heat tape on my water main, leaving the pipe exposed to the sub zero temperatures. He said it was not his job to replace the heat tape and he did not. My pipe refroze, so the money I paid him was wasted. I wanted him to fix the problem that was causing the frozen pipe, but he only turned the heater on for one hour which was not enough time to unthaw the pipes completely and there were other issues to address. In addition, he charged me for two hours of work and was only there for 1 hour and 15 minutes. His $100 per hour rate was double the customary plumber rate for the Indian Lake area. I used another plumber who had 45 years of experience and he charged $50 an hour. The one positive for AJ Plumbing is that he did show up very promptly. Given the gruff interactions and because he didn't complete the job, I cannot recommend him.
