I had a leak that came through my ceiling, which was coming from the tub upstairs. I stayed home the next day to try to get someone to help me. I called JMS and they fit me in, fixed the problem and were informative, kind and courteous. I would highly recommend them.

JMS Plumbing is responsive in an emergency, are honest, and have fair pricing. They do excellent work. They clean up any mess that is made during service.

Today (Jan 31, 2019) -- with the Midwest and Northeast experiencing record subzero temps -- JMS basically saved the day! We woke up in our Cortland Victorian to find our house temp had dropped to 43 deg. Tried to find/light the pilot on our gas furnace (turns out its electric start, so no pilot per se); when that failed, we called a reguonal hvac company who gave us a guilt trip and brush-off "till tomorrow" for not being on their annual maintenance contract... So we called JMS (local, family-owned shop) who came within 45 mins, quickly and accurately diagnosed the problem as a burned out inducer, tracked one down in Syracuse (and immediately drove to/from to pick it up!), & got us up and running again right after lunch/3 hours later. Mike (the "m" in JMS) was super friendly, sharp, knew his stuff, a polite young man, and quick...the latter being really important because we were freezing (despite electric heaters and a wood fire) and the next dominoe to fall might have been frozen pipes (thankfully I remembered to keep them dripping). Bottom line, we experienced great and knowledgeable service at a critical time! Call JMS if you want the same... No joke: We can't thank them enough!

Always professional, knowledgeable, prompt service with very fair prices. They have been able to diagnose and repair all of our plumbing and heating needs, as well as resolve issues created by other contractors cutting corners. I highly recommend this company.

Main water valve from street to inside house was leaking on shutoff stem...JMS lined things up with city to shutoff water, remedied the problem in a reasonable fashion at a reasonable price..Thank you JMS !
