They came out with same day service. He sent his "boys" - one of whom was his son - and did the service fast and efficient. Jared and Kyle were great. Highly recommend.

I don't understand the 1 star reviews of Duell. I decided to check the two people that said more than "I can't recommend Duell plumbing", and the majority of their other reviews were also negative. We were having issues because the shut-off valves for all three of our toilets weren't working, and in order to properly clean a toilet it requires shutting off the fill and flushing to reveal most of the inside toilet surfaces to clean. These valves were probably the originals installed with the house (1963), and they just weren't working. We also had three bathroom sinks, and the kitchen sink shut-off of the same vintage. We also had an outside faucet who's line ran from the utility bathroom through the garage, and out the side of the garage. The line used was a copper pipe, and the shut-off valve for it was inside the utility room wall with two small louvered doors 24" high that were mostly blocked by the sink. I had a three foot piece of 1" dowel I had designed to reach the shut-off. I had to use it hanging over the sink, leaning upside down, and watching in a mirror and a flashlight in order to turn it off. Even thought I tried to faithfully turn it off before the freeze, I had forgotten one year, and one year I turned it off but must have forgotten to release the pressure and leave the faucet open outside. Well, the pipe in both instances split, and I'd fixed it the first time myself, and just hadn't gotten around to repairing it the second. Not knowing who to trust, I looked up HomeAdvisor on-line and contacted them to get recommendations. I got quotes from two firms in the neighborhood of $1500.00 each, and a three to five week lead time. My wife knew Duell from her time as a teller in the bank, and suggested I call them. I told them what we needed done, and they came out that afternoon to see what they needed to do. Their quote was less than 1/2 what the others quoted, and they came two days later to do the jobs. When they came, they discovered they needed more materials to do the job, and one workman went to get them, while the other one went to work replacing the ancient shut-offs with standard 1/4 turn ones (read newest technology). I described the outside line issue above, and when they started to run that line, they had to remove the bathroom sink, and one of the guys climbed into the itty-bitty space ( I still don't know how he fit, he was broad shouldered and muscular) to remove the old line and shutoff and run the new (flexible plastic) line to the outside. They asked me if I wanted the shut-off in that cupboard (are you kidding?) and I said not if they could help it. They installed it in the garage (in plain site and easily reached), and installed a Frost Free Anti-Siphon faucet. With the run for the extra materials (connection lines for two toilets) and all the hassle to install the outside line (and a couple of extra shut-offs to replace the last of the ancient monsters) they were still in and out in three hours, and didn't charge a dime extra. I HIGHLY recommend Duell!

The workman just left. Installed two Gerber toilet seats (vp 21-552) for $525 each ($80 worth online), which look like those used on a plane. While the service man came promptly and is polite, he didn't explain his products and let you believe they are an ok company. The stuff they bring to your house makes your house look really cheap. For the price (plus $89 service call) and the way of doing business -- I am NOT recommending this company to anyone.
