if less than one was possible this company would receive a minus 50! They were hired via AHS - American Home Shield Warranty (another place to avoid). Delays and problems combined with a demand for "cash in hand" or cashiers/ certified check for payment before work. The work was not professionally done. NO REQUIRED PERMIT WAS FILED WITH THE STATE and Plumb Tech blamed every other professional or others for what didn't work!. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY EVER! I would give this place 0 stars if I could. They were assigned to me through a Lowe's water heater warranty. Their technicians removed and returned the old PPROPANE water heater, got store credit, and then purchased and installed a NATURAL GAS water heater. After several calls they blamed Lowe's for giving them the wrong water heater to install and that their technicians are not responsible for checking that they receive and install the correct appliance. The office manager is rude, and the owner is worse, instead of apologizing and offering to make it right, they offered nothing but sorrynotsorry excuses. When the owner asked me what I wanted from them, I said I wanted him to admit his employees installed the wrong water heater he said he would not admit they did. When I explained that according to the water heater manufacturer that if the water heater was connected to the wrong fuel source it could potentially cause an explosion or fire his response was "oh well, that didn't happen though, so why are you wasting my time, don't you have anything better to do?" He also said "not having hot water is a very common problem and there are worse things in the world, people are dying." Here's hoping karma works that fast...
Do no use this company. They were assigned through my home warranty company to replace my furnace. They did not apply for permits with the township and reused old out of code parts. The duct and drainage modifications were sloppy. They did not identify that the drainage was incorrect for my unit, as a result, my neighbor downstairs had a flood from the water leaking beneath my new furnace. Now the company will not pick up the phone or take any service requests from my homeowner's insurance to make good on the repairs. Also, they only take payment by cash or check and I know why because I am sure many have disputed charges for bad work in the past. I am going to file a report with the Better Business Bureau against this company.
I called American Home Shield because I had no water. A plumbing company was contracted who promptly came out and concluded that my problem was my well pump. American Home Shield then transferred the call to Plumb Tech Services. After 48 hours of not hearing from them I called them and left a message with no response. I then placed another phone call with no response after 24 hours. I contacted American Home Shield who called the head technician/owner named Fritz on his personal cell phone. I then immediately called him and he said his receptionist will call me ASAP. Finally 24 hours later she called and set up the appointment. The appointment was scheduled 2 days later on a Thursday between the hours of 4 pm - 8 pm. That day of the appointment the technician showed up at my house at 12 pm when nobody was home. He stated that they do not work past 4 pm and was unable to wait or come back that day. The receptionist profusely apologized after mentioning she got yelled at and stated it was all her fault. She then could not fit me in until the following week. I said that was not acceptable as I had no water. They then said Fritz would come out on Saturday between 12 pm- 1 pm. On Saturday he did not show up at all. At 1:40 pm I called and he said he would call me back 5 minutes later. 1 hour later I still had not heard from him. I texted him that this was the worst company I have ever dealt with through American Home Shield. He then had the audacity to say that he would call American Home Shield and say that I was not home at the right time since I insulted him and his company. I would never recommend this company to my worst enemy. Fritz is a liar and a horrible businessman. If you do not believe me his Better Business Bureau rating is an F. His Yelp rating is 1.5 and his Google rating a 2. If American Home Shield assigns this company please ask for another company or you will regret it. Again, the worse company that I have ever dealt with in my entire life.
Came across Plumb Tech through my home owners warranty, in fact they were the second company since the first never even bother to call me back. They are on point! They were very diligent in communicating with me since I was not able to be home. They were kind enough to call me ahead ten or twenty minutes before they came to the house so I could get someone there. They are honest and truly worked hard to get the furnace fixed, coming several times in the intent to repair. But alas the universal part did not work and we had to wait for the part, once they came again the unit was fixed in ten minutes. I highly recommend Plumb Tech Services for their integrity and work ethic. Kudos and Thanks
