Mr. Handyman of South Bergen County

We were in need of repairs in our bathroom. I called the company and spoke to Jim the owner. He came to look at the project and the next day the work was completed. My husband was very impressed with the Craig the technician, that came to do the work. He was very professional and did a great job. We will definitely use this company again for future jobs. Extremely pleased.

WOULDN'T LET ME POST WITH NO STARS, BUT BELIEVE ME THAT IS WHAT THEY DESERVE. I ABSOLUTELY AGREE WITH THE OTHER REVIEWERS HERE..STAY AWAY. SCAM!..HAD SOMEONE COME TO GIVE AN ESTIMATE. MY HUSBAND DISCUSSED SCOPE OF WORK SEVERAL TIMES AND ALLOTTED FOR EVEN MORE MATERIALS IF NECESSARY. GUY SHOWS UP WITH WRONG MATERIALS, AND NOT ENOUGH TO DO JOB. MY HUSBAND DISCUSSES THIS WITH HIM. HE LEAVES SUPPOSEDLY TO GET MORE MATERIAL AND WE CALL OFFICE TO GO OVER WHAT HAPPENED. KELLY SAYS SHE SENT SCOPE OF WORK TO MY EMAIL, NEVER RECEIVED. ODD BECAUSE I DID RECEIVE EMAIL SAYING THEY WERE ON THEIR WAY..I CALL OFFICE BACK AN HOUR LATER, SPEAK WITH JEN OR JAN, WHATEVER HER NAME IS..EXTREMELY SARCASTIC, SAYS ADRIAN IS NOT DOING JOB BECAUSE MY HUSBAND WAS '"HOVERING OVER HIM." LOL MORE LIKE INFORMING HIM HE DIDN'T HAVE ADEQUATE SUPPLIES..AND YES, THEY WERE GONNA BILL AT OVER $100.00 HR ADDITIONAL AFTER TIME THEY FELT IT WOULD TAKE. DEFINITELY A SCAM..BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU BEING NOTIFIED..

I wish I could give negative stars. This is my very FIRST review EVER, which says a lot. I used their services about a year ago when I bought a new house, WHICH WAS THE BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER! Being a first time home owner, I didn't realize the amount of research you need to do before hiring contractors. I hired mr.handyman to replace some floors and doors before I moved in. Living in the NYC at the time and working 60 plus hours I did not get the time to check in everyday and I thought the tasks were relatively very simple to perform. But when we dropped by the house the day before they were suppose to finish, LESS than 50% was complete AND the floors that were installed were completely uneven and way to high. Additionally, the windows in he house were left open and the place was left a mess!!! When I called them they demanded that I pay for everything and they will charge more if I wanted to them to finish everything????? I had no choice but to hire someone else last minute 2 days before I was suppose to move in, in order to make the place livable. Sorry for the long rant, BUT PLEASE STAY AWAYYYYY!!!!!!!!!

Extremely expensive service, the guy John was extremely slow. 3 hours to paint total of 5x4 ceiling. Charged almost $500. will never use Mr.HandyMan again! Please be aware!

We recently just bought a house and decided to get a vinyl fence installed. I contacted 5 fence companies for estimates. All 5 companies quoted me on 125 feet of fence and the prices ranged from $3400 to $4500. I decided to get one more estimate from Mr. Handyman. After waiting almost two weeks, i received an email with the estimate attached. Mr. Handyman quoted me for almost 200 ft of fence and labor cost at a total of $16,000. I contacted them asking if this was a typo. They said no, this was the going price for a fence. They estimated $2700 for supplies, and get this, $12800 for labor costs. A two day job at best , lets just say a total of 20 hrs (thats being generous). I would be paying them roughly $650 an hour. Either they were trying to scam me or they are just completely incompetent. Im leaning towards incompetent. My advice to you is to stay as far away from this company as possible. They are a complete joke. I wish google would let us give negative stars because they deserve it!
