They are totally unprofessional. They dripped lots of dirty water on our freshly-refinished hardwood floors and on the carpeted stairs leading to our basement. Left their garbage (plumbing and ductwork) in our driveway. When we complained to the owner he angrily said that no company ever cleans up after itself and the he "doesn't need to be lectured." Phone estimate was for the water heater only even though they knew that other work had to be done. What's a few hundred dollars between friends? (That's sarcasm.)
Installing of new Water Heater not up to code. I hired Waterheatersnj til install a new water heater, I was a little apprehensive because of a lot of recent bad reviews, but also a few good once. I made sure that there wouldn’t be any misunderstanding about the pricing since a few customers have complained about that. During the installation I asked them if an emergency power switch needed to be installed because I have heard that otherwise it wouldn’t pass an inspection since the circuit breakers are not visible from the heater. The technician told me that it was not necessary and that it would be installed up to code. I then found out the hard way that it wasn’t the truth and then I had to find an electrician to finish the job. I called Steve the owner who just told me that they don’t do electrical only plumbing and I have to hire an electrician. As some other people have written, he is very nice over the phone before the job, but once you call and complain about something he just gets very defensive and not so nice anymore. I would be very careful with hiring them. All this would have been fine if they where upfront and honest about everything before the job. But when you are not any kind of contractor yourself, you expect them to install everything up to code.
If you need a new water heater and want to contact them, you will get a quick answer. Unfortunately, problems will arise during the factory warrenty period, and you will see their different faces when you need accurate diagnosis and repair. State law informed me that I had a 1 year free labor warrenty, and even though I would share a service charge , they blocked me from all means of communication. You will experience a change from a thankful customer to a nuisance. You may have to pay extra money and time. I hope their business gets better, But with Professional technical skills, you should base on the basic sprit of customer care.
Stay away. Hired them for plumbing for half bath for basement construction and the work was poor. Inspection failed. They don't show up and give reasons to delay indefinitely. Now says, hire someone else to complete the work. Just poor planning and no professionalism. Spare yourself a lot of agony.
Replaced a 40 Gallon Water Heater for me and upgraded my venting. Previous owner did water heater on their own and botched up the code requirements. For the heater plus install and removal the price was better than me getting one on my own and installing. Rheem was one of the brands I wanted so this worked out well. Didn't want save money with a crappy brand.
