I called Jeff's Plumbing on Monday to report a ruined water heater and after lots of very thorough questions about the problem, was given an appointment on Wednesday. Because I had this standing appointment, I passed on two other plumbers who also returned my calls. I called again on Tuesday to let them know I had chosen a water heater for pick up at Lowe's. They put me on hold, then told me the appointment was only for diagnosis, not for a repair. I expressed my shock about this and was again put on hold...then told the soonest anyone could actually fix the problem would be the following Monday. Increasingly, shocked, since we had so thoroughly discussed the hot water rushing out of the top of the water heater around points that were not fittings...I said there is no diagnosis required, it was indeed a ruined water heater and asked to speak to someone else, who reiterated that they had to come diagnose it before they could set a repair appointment. The one star is because the system will not let me give less! Seems like a racket to me...I've had several real estate properties for years and have never had quality repair people not come prepared to repair a problem. Perhaps the problem turns out to be a lack of service calls for Jeff's Plumbing at $80 an hour. Never again...
Jeff & his guys are top notch. They did a fantastic job for us last year, fixing a sewer gas leak that had plagued the house for years. Polite, courteous, and efficient. They had all the right materials with them, and knew what they were doing. Price was very fair. The young lady in the office is very helpful too! I will certainly use them again and have no problem recommending them to others. I was a licensed General Contractor for decades until I retired early......
I had an awesome experience. I gave them a list from a home inspection of plumbing repairs that needed to be done. They quickly went to work, showed up when they said they would, did what they were supposed to do, and left my house looking like they had never even been there. Great job, I would recommend them and will definitely use them again.
This is a late post for a job that was done last November. Had a problem with an electrical cutoff that was shutting down my old boiler in the middle of the night causing my base board heating to cut off. I would know when I was woken up by the cold are. Had to walk down to the basement and hit a reset button. Was afraid to go anywhere during the winter for fear my boiler would shut down and my pipes would freeze. Had plumbing and heating folks look at it and not be able to fix the problem. But Jeffs team did it and were very good about explaining to me what was going on. Awesome quality service with a smile. The price was more then right for fixing me having to get out of bed in the middle of the night every other night. Had paid others almost the same and it was not fixed. Also Jeffs recently sent two guys out to fix what I thought might be a major problem and when they found it to be a simple blown gasket they fixed it fast and charged me for one plumber.
Christmas/New Year's Holidays, 2015. My husband was attempting to fix a leak in our crawlspace, but our aged copper pipes were failing; every time he fixed one leak another would pop further up the line. He had to turn the water off at the entrance to the house, we didn't have water over the holidays. This was serious. Since he usually made the repairs, we didn't have a customary plumber. I found some companies on the internet and started calling, not really expecting to contact anyone because of the time of year. Jeff's Plumbing actually had a live person answering the phone, she was able to dispatch a plumbing crew to us immediately. The two-man crew was very polite and worked quickly; they replaced our old, worn-out pipes with generation II PVC pipes and state-of-the-art "shark" connections. Jeff's Plumbing saved our home, our holiday, and maybe our marriage!
