Roto-Rooter

Do not use this company, without reading this. Poor service, charged twice in two weeks for root removal at cost of $793.00, without resolving the problem. The technician wanted to charge an additional $500.00 the following day to temporarily fix the drainage. I called a another company, the drainage problem was fixed in 30 minutes. Rotor Rooter quoted $6000.00 to replace a pipe to unclog the drain. July 15, 2019.

So let me start by saying that Roto Rooter was very busy due to our recent bad weather, and did take more time than we wanted to come out. The most aggravating thing about this was that we called on Friday to make an appointment for a toilet/bathroom sink/shower that were backing up into each other, and were told they couldn't come until Monday; Monday at 7:30 pm when they hadn't called, we called and told them it needed to be done Tuesday morning or we were hiring someone else. SCOTT WAS A CHAMP!!!! He's a good ol Boston boy who loves plumbing, and he was excellent. He not only cleared out a gigantic clog in our line leading up to the house from outside, he replaced our toilet seal and toilet (we had taken it off to snake the drain) and fixed a leak in the kitchen sink, even advising on how to stop the backups that had been happening. He did a great job, and while I know I'll have to take the extra time for Roto Rooter in the future, it was WELL worth it when they finally came. Can't say enough good things about Scott.

I had a bad clog in my main sewer line that a previous plumbing company could not fix. I called Roto-Rooter and asked them to send someone out, it was around noon when I called them so it was the next morning before someone could get out here. They sent Bill out first thing the next morning at 8 am, he was great, friendly, knowledgeable, had all of the right equipment on hand when he arrived, fixed my clog in a jiff, and considering what I was previously charged by a company who didn't even unclog it, the price was amazing. I haven't had any prior experience with the company, and because the lone review was only 1 star I didn't call them first, but I clearly should have. I would recommend them to anyone in the future. No communication between customers, techs and dispatcher. Should not be waiting on tech till 7 pm when more than 48 hours an appt was scheduled prior.
