Outstanding service and friendly plumber. Plumber explained everything in detail and was very thorough. I had a leak with my jetted tub upstairs and had called 7 other local Asheville plumbers who refused to even assess the leak. Mr. Rooter immediately said they would look at the leak, which they were able to fix within an hour. I really appreciated the service, the explanation, and the promptness of the service call.
On Friday August 16th, the drain line from my kitchen sink stopped up--the second time in the last six years. I knew the problem/a sharp turn about 65 feet out from the kitchen sink. I knew from that earlier experience that my regular plumber only had a 50 foot snake. I had called roto rooter the last time and was not impressed with their service. After calling several services without luck, I called Mr. Rooter. I was pleased when David arrived on Monday the 19th just a few hours I called, but taken aback at the estimate of $675 for unstopping the line, taking out the garbage disposal under the sink and installing a cutout so that it would be easier to unstop in the future. Excellent work, professionally done. And, given the lack of options, I reluctantly agreed. But: while the $259. charge for the clean-out was not that far out of line (I paid $200 to Roto-rooter 6 years ago) I think the charge of $334 for installing a cutout, removing the garbage disposal and reconnecting the drain line is excessive. I'm a former builder and--had it not been for a recent back injury-- I could have done all the work except for unstopping the drain line. And I could have done it in no more than an hour--at most 1 1/2 hours. (I've done it before). After parts--no more than $40--that means at least $200 an hour. Sorry, as I said, the service was professional, but as I also said: too expensive even given today's professional service costs.
They were prompt and professional and did a great job
Great experience with Mr. Rooter. It was seamless. On time and Knowledgeable!!
Quick response to a small (non emergency) plumbling problem, the gentleman that diagnosed and repaired the issue was polite, thoughtful, knowledgeable and quick. I would recommend Mr. Rooter to friends for plumbling issues in the future. As a side note even though I did not see any advertisment of this on their website they do have a military discount.
